The views from the house are breathtaking, with the stunning unobstructed backdrop of Bequia’s eastern coast and views of glimmering islands in the distance. Windrose House was designed with an emphasis on green construction: sustainable and reclaimed materials are featured prominently among the construction materials. Rain water is collected, naturally purified, and filtered for use; and a gray water system is utilized so that no water goes to waste. Our water is heated by solar energy.
Windrose House is naturally cooled by the constant tradewinds. Energy efficient appliances and lighting are used throughout the property. In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, Windrose House does not contain a television, air-conditioning, or a swiming pool.

BEQUIA
Bequia, the largest island in the Grenadines, consists of just seven square miles and five thousand residents, only a 50 minute flight from Barbados or a one hour ferry ride from Saint Vincent. Bequia, with no high rise hotels, commercial chains, or cruise ships, offers rest and relaxation in a unique, laid back, Old Caribbean setting.

Centrally located, other stunning beaches such as Lower Bay, Princess Margaret, Crescent, Spring and Friendship are a short hike or drive away.
